for Type 2 Diabetic's 10,000 mile "World Walk" beginning January 4th,
2004, 10:00 a.m. in Key West, Florida.

On the fourth anniversary to the day that Cesar A. Becerra was diagnosed

as the first Diabetic to attempt to circumnavigate the globe on foot! On
January 4th, at approximately 10am, Becerra, will take the first steps on
a journey that will cross four continents, 30 countries and could last
nearly a decade.

The 10,000 mile journey which will begin and end at the historic Key West
Mile Marker is designed as a fundraiser for both The American Diabetes
Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. But more
important than funds for research, Becerra will attempt to inspire and
educate Diabetics on the importance of daily exercise.

Thirty-one year old Becerra, remembers the day he was diagnosed with Type
2 Diabetes. "I instantly slipped into a depression, the whole world looked
as if it was coming to an end. Now I know that having Diabetes is far from
the end, it is in fact a grand beginning."

Becerra manages his Diabetes with diet and exercise instead of drugs. He
hopes to inspire and set an example that just a daily regimen of walking
each day can significantly assist Diabetics young and old control their
Diabetes. "Once its under control.well..there is nothing you can't do!"

Becerra is currently ending his tenure as the Marketing Director of The
Los Angeles Filmmakers Cooperative and will be landing in Miami on Jan 1st,
then traveling by bus to Key West. A website will debut soon. For now anybody that would like to donate a tax deductible contribution to the American Diabetes Association or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation can do
